Dear parents, students and friends,
This year continues to race along. Suddenly we are in mid November and thinking about planning end of year events for our families. As a school we still have many restrictions to ensure we are covid-safe which will mean some different experiences this year for some events but our children, staff and fmalies will of course enjoy and make the most of everything.
I am brought joy every day listening to the students at our school look on the bright side of things. They are thankful and grateful for the things in their lives. I am reminded daily to enjoy every minute of my day by the smiles and greetings and stories about pets, family, friends, snails and wind. It is the little things in life that remind us to thank God for the wonder of our world. It is the small acts of grace that people share with me that fill my heart and allow me in turn to act with grace to others.
Wishing you a joyfilled weekend
Kate
2020 CSEF - Extension and use of funds
The Department of Education and Training (DET) have confirmed that 2020 CSEF eligibility has been extended to 5 October 2020.
If you hold a Contrelink Concession Card, please bring your application to the school office by 18th Nov to enable lodgement prior to the closing date of 27 November 2020.
CSEF extension payments for applicable students will be at 50% of the standard primary and secondary rates recognising that opportunities for camps, sports and excursions have been limited in 2020.
Clarification has also been received that 2020 CSEF may also be applied against student curriculum levies where the levy has been used towards the purchase of books, stationery and other learning materials by the school on behalf of the student.
For further information, please contact the office.
Hello and thank you from the two red baton teachers at the main school gate. We are Bec Kollaris (Deputy Principal: Inclusive Education) and Jen Gulavin (Learning Adjustment teacher) who you will observe every morning and afternoon directing you safely into the car park and across the footpath. We really appreciate the co-operation and patience shown by everyone as we continue to provide a safe and respectful learning community. It is great to see the way cars alternate when entering the school allowing for everyone to arrive safely. It reminds us of the McDonald’s drive through etiquette.
Please continue to support each other with this process. We enjoy engaging in conversation with all those we greet including some well-behaved pets and thank everyone for their warm greetings in return. We are getting to know families by name which is fantastic as well as students from our neighbouring school, St. Peter’s. We are very impressed by the courtesy and manners shown to us. Please continue to introduce yourselves. See you at the gate.
NAIDOC Week 2020's theme is Always Was, Always Will Be.

Online games can be great fun for your child, but make sure you can help them manage the risks.
Many games can improve your child’s coordination, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as help build social skills through online interactivity with other players. But it is also important to understand what might go wrong and have a negative impact on
your child.
